We've learned the Houston fire department has pushed the meetings back at least by another week.
It was yesterday when we first reported 238 firefighters were scheduled to attend sessions with the fire chief next Tuesday and Thursday to be notified they're being laid off.
Firefighters union president Jeff caynon now says next week will be used as negotiating time to cone up with at least $13 million dollars to try and save the firefighters jobs.
