DID YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE MAKE THE TOP TEN OVER THE WEEKEND?


"Thor" pummeled the competition in the first big weekend of the summer, opening at No. 1 at the box office
with $65.7 million.

The final figure Monday is down slightly from the original studio estimate of $66 million over the weekend.
 
The Paramount 3-D action picture, based on the Marvel comic, stars Australian actor Chris Hemsworth as the arrogant god of thunder, who's sent to Earth as punishment.
 
The top 20 movies at U.S. and Canadian theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Hollywood.com are:
