The decision follows broad debate within the administration about whether to distribute what has been described as a "gruesome" photo in order to prove that the Al Qaeda leader is dead.
"There are sensitivities here in terms of the appropriateness of releasing photographs," White H spokesman Jay Carney told reporters Tuesday, adding that the photos of Bin Laden's corpse "could be inflammatory."
