A volunteer at Lakewood Church has been charged with ‘indecency with a child,’ according to court documents obtained by FOX 26 News.
The charges were filed Tuesday in Harris County.
Alvaro Daniel Guzman, 24, is accused of having inappropriate contact with a 9-year-old boy while on church grounds.
The alleged incident took place on Feb. 13, 2010 when the victim was just eight years old.
According to court documents, a witness told investigators she saw Guzman touch the special needs child inappropriately. She says the defendant then looked around to "determine if anyone had seen him."
Both the witness and the suspect are volunteers of the church's Kids Life Ministry.
